Let’s face it; nothing says backyard barbeque like a platter full of burgers and dogs. However, nothing makes your event more memorable than having the highest-quality ingredients served up for your guests. Did you know that at Main Course Market our all-natural beef is ground in-house daily? We wouldn’t serve it any other way, and neither should you! This summer, serve up the freshest, most flavorful burgers that your guests are sure to rave about with a trip into our butcher shop and this easy recipe from onceuponachef:

  •       3 lbs. lean ground beef
  •       2 cubed pieces of crustless white bread
  •       1/3 cup milk
  •       3 minced fresh garlic cloves
  •       1 ½ teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
  •       2 tablespoons ketchup
  •       Salt and pepper to taste

Begin by mixing the bread and milk in a bowl until a chunky paste forms. Add the salt, pepper, garlic, Worcestershire sauce and ketchup. When fully combined, add the beef. Continuing mixing until everything is evenly combined. Divide your mixture into patties and grill to your desired temperature.

Next to burgers and dogs, chicken is a close runner up. And boy is there are options when it comes to grilling chicken! From breasts to drums, sauces to dry rubs, the possibilities are endless. Here is a five-star grilled chicken breast recipe to get you started:

  •       2 lbs. boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  •       6 tablespoons EVOO
  •       4 minced garlic cloves
  •       1 teaspoon dried thyme
  •       ½ teaspoon dried oregano
  •       1 ½ teaspoons lemon zest
  •       Salt and pepper to taste

Except for the chicken, mix all of the ingredients in a zip-lock bag. Add the chicken breasts and ensure they are coated. Seal the bag and let the chicken marinate a minimum of 4 hours – overnight is better! Grill and enjoy!
